My name is Leslie and I live in Lawrence, KS. My love of nostalgia more than likely began during the early 1980s when I used to watch a show called Matinee at the Bijou on our local PBS station every Sunday. My interest ebbed and flowed for the next 15 years until I discovered Charlie Chaplin. Between watching his films and reading everything I could that was written about him, I have to admit that I fell hook, line and sinker for the Little Tramp. As time went on my interest expanded to other silent and early talkie players, early 20th century pop culture and finally vintage items in general. While I enjoy the comforts and privileges of being a woman in the 21st century, I often wish for a time machine that would take me back to one of the bygone eras so I could observe how people lived and what life was truly like (with the exception of having to wear a corset). While no one has figured out how to do that yet, I can at least enjoy buying and selling vintage items and commiserating with others who feel they may have been born too late. That’s why I started The Nostalgia Nook. I could share my treasures with others and perhaps make a bit of money doing so. So please feel free to take a look around my store
